As a Crespi / SMU Alumni I have watched Chris Harper for quite some time. I am very pleased with his decision and I am sure he will do just fine at SMU. Congrats to Chris!

Wow! That was my first post. I have been lurking for quite some time. As a 1990 Cox School Alumni I will say that I witnessed more insanity back then. I cherish my days and SMU and made some great friends.

Chris Harper will be a welcome addition to our team.

As a native Californian I am impressed with all the recruits coming out of California.
My only wish is to get Connor Preston involved. He is an outstanding QB.
He spent his days in High School passing to Robert Woods (USC) and George Farmer (USC) and winning championships.

I am pretty sure that he can do the job at SMU!

Go Ponies!

We will see. Preston certainly has a lot of competition with Kaiser, Gilbert transferring in, Burcham committed for next year, and Printz (hopefully) committed for 2013. Gilbert was obviously highly touted 5 star out of HS, Burcham was MVP of the Elite 11 camp, and Printz is considered one of the best QBs in the '13 class. Geez...that's potentially five QBs. May the best man win.

That's a lot of talent! It will be very exciting for us SMU fans. With all the talented recruits we have been getting we should continue to improve. The schedule should play in our favor next year too. I just hope we continue moving up and doing well!

Forget Kaiser and all those other guys for a moment, you didn't mention Preston's biggest competition: Kyle Padron.

I think Kyle locks down the starters job for one year, if not two.

How do you figure two? Is he eligible for a medical redshirt for this year? I dont know how all that stuff works. where's Stallion when you actually need him?
