Really? By "everything" you must mean "since 1989" as we've yet to play a bowl matching the prestige and meaning of all the bowls SMU went to pre-death penalty.

June Jones has been great in ushering in institutional change and infrastructure change. In all other areas he has been marginal at best and continues to get out coached quite often. He has difficulty motivating team, implementing a game plan that fits the talent on our team, placing an emphasis on recruiting and creating more support among the alumni. The way to build more support among the alumni is by producing an exciting product, which comes with having a motivated team and a team that creates an interesting and exciting on field product. After year two, with the exception of the TCU games, JJ has failed in these areas and showed very little motivation to address these areas.

Klemm, mason, kliff or rossley...

I know the fan support isnt good, but JJ does a terrible job selling it as well..

Leis, and black, and new mascots and criticism...

Why isnt he out there in SMU gear, shaking hands, being on campus, ect?

He only wants to hang with big money donors, doesnt have any real interest if you cant spend the 10k for JJ pebble beach weekend...

At least fake that you like the school for 2.5 mil a year...

I don't twist ANYTHING. There was no article. It's a chart with DMN comments after each match-up. I quoted it word-for-word. I don't appreciate being called a liar, punk.

I really don't care what you appreciate. And yes, you do twist what you can on June.

This is the heart of my issues with him -- his cornball offense notwithstanding.

Go ask some of the letterman who played here from the late 1990s and early 2000s who feel completely alienated by the guy.

And go ask somebody in the know on how he completely wrecked the letterman's golf tournament in April.

He treats people who are of no value to him like dirt.

I promise you, Jones thinks this.

Well, he is right.

Really? Never heard of the '83 Cotton Bowl, the '68 Bluebonnet Bowl, the '66 Cotton Bowl, the '84 Sun Bowl, the '80 Holiday Bowl?

Doesn't require twisting. What Jones says/thinks is effed-up all by itself.

Thank you I was at those bowls except for Holiday. I am assuming he is refering to the post DP era that is what my comment was based upon

C'mon I can understand the frustrations given our expectations and future ones as well, but its pretty hard to argue that he didnt bring up bowl bound 3 times... If you have to here is the chart:

2008- No bowl, JJ
2009- Hawaii bowl, JJ
2010- AFB, JJ
2011- BBVA, JJ

Everything since 1989 not even close.

Not true at all. In 2006 Bennett led the team to a 6-6 record (which I believe would've got us in a bowl today). And three of those six losses were by 5 points or less, all games on the road (Tulane, UTEP and Rice).

Also, Mike Cavan led the team to a 6-5 record in 1997, 5-3 in the WAC. That would be a bowl team in today's setup too.

Yeah but the fact we lost to those teams was kind of a bummer. No doubt there were some okayyears, but nevertheless, we had 8-5 (09), 7-7(should of been 8-7 but conf champ), 7-5 (playing AQ team and beat TCU).
