ASU fan response on Rivals board is 100% against hiring JJ. I am talking mutiny here. There is already a fire JJ thread!!

JJ didn't do anything that any of the other post-DP coaches wouldn't be capable of under an identical recruiting/admissions model. 7 wins twice in C-USA is nothing to be overly depressed about when it heads out the door.

Clearly, though, we are headed in right direction under JJ. The recruiting has been gettin better each year. So we can be bummed about losing that.

I just hope we get a fiery head coach this time, one that doesn't let his team slide half-way through the season. I hope we can make another splash hire, because it may be the only way to keep some recruits. Ugh the next few years are going to get ugly..

It's going to be funny watching him crash and burn in the desert, of course we'll be crashing and burning simultaneously with the new guy so it won't be that funny.

Jones helped accelerate some things about our program and helped us get the exposure that led to this BE deal. For that I am grateful. As far as going forward, there may be some transition impact but we were going to take a ding in our W/L record next season anyway and that may be part of why he split.

Unless KP returns and is healthy we have only QBs with no D I experience, have to rebuild the OL and replace top receiver. Lose two DL one that will be a high draft pick and two all-conference DBs.

I have more confidence in our D next year being OK than the O.

Oh man, I long for the days where we don't have our QB constantly running back and forth to the side lines.
