i agree. there is more to this than meets the eye.
pretty ironic that on the day we get into the big east the guy that got us there leaves.

You mean like a guy who would leave his program the same day he coached his team in the Sugar Bowl? Can't believe he would do the same thing twice!

Honestly, everyone thought this would be a great year. I am sure he heard disappointment from everyone about how the season went, and he knows we are taking a step back next year. So, leave while the getting is good...

I agree, I understand ASU entrance requirements are not as tough as SMU. Easy pickins.

Good observations. I wonder if perhaps after the TCU and Central Florida wins he asked for a new contract and wasn't given it so with the poor attendance and poor recruiting results since he has been here and so many seniors he saw this as an opportunity to get another few years with a new contract while he can since he is in his "golden years" and his mind and offense are rapidly declining. Will take the millions for a few more years then accept the buyout from ASU and ride off into the beautiful Hawaiiin sunsets and laughing at his good fortune. Not bad for New York Regents Online College most famous alumni! Poor ASU. They deserve better but shame on them for not doing their homework.
