When the Cowboys moved to Arlington from Irving I expected a marketing campaign promoting the ease, convenience, and affordability for a family of four to see a quality football game in Dallas at SMU. I still wonder what the geniuses at SMU were thinking by not advertising these advantages over local TV and billboards?

Concerning June's gripe about the lack of attendance at the Rice game... Not to belabor the obvious, but all our students were on Thanksgiving break. We knew there wouldn't be any students attending when they scheduled the game.

We still need more young fans, but whining about the attendance at the Rice game is a cop out.

SMU having money means they have a large endowment. Not a large slush fund for the athletic department unfortunately.

We have been operating at a pretty large deficit. Orsini has significantly reduced this through some drastic measures under the direction of RGT.

Big East will solve the remaining deficit, so whenever that happens, we're good.

So

We're good in a couple years.
