The general's penchant for occasional lucidity never ceases to amaze me. Can't argue with the approach he outlined here. Also love the reference to the events of Decmber 7, because Jones really tried to Pearl Harbor us yesterday.

Well said. Jones gambled and lost, and is now a lame duck in the coaching market. Either he spurs SMU to an absolutely phenomenal season and rides off into the sunset, or he goes 6-6 and he's playing the WAC waiver wire in 2013 while SMU wishes him well in his future endeavors.
