Exactly....why would he say anything when the situation is obviously still very fluid?
The situation/future is in all likelihood still not 100% decided.
The time to say something will be very soon, but not until the final details are decided.

Purple Hippo says June is on the way to Alabama for a Compass Bowl Press Conference.

Right, technology is still not yet advanced enough for him to have released some sort of statement since he's on that long plane ride. I suppose he took the route through Honolulu from Dallas, cuz ordinarily that's like a 1.5 hr flight.
What are you after?

Just wondering what those who will defend June the Messiah at any cost would give as excuses for his going underground and failure to explain the turd he dropped in the punch bowl yesterday. At the time, we had nothing. Now, we just have a short, half-hearted milktoast statement "from June Jones" that seems obviously ghost-written by some PR firm or the fabulous Leigh Steinberg that is insulting to read by just about anyone who has followed this abortion.

cut and pasted from what I said in another thread:
This stuff happens all the time, coaches interview for better jobs and want to leave and don't end up getting them. Usually, to save face, they say they're happy where they're at or they're "withdrawing their name from consideration," where in fact, they would've bolted. JJ got effed by ASU because they pulled his offer- making this a much stickier situation.
unfortunately, BRStang cant see this because he got his panties all in a wad and added me as a "foe"

You guys will be waiting forever for a jones statement. Here in Hawaii we are still waiting for him to explain the Sugar Bowl. About how he was talking with SMU for his new job instead of Georgia game planning.

To be fair, he could've prepared three months for that game and still gotten his [deleted] kicked in. That UGA team was insane- how did Richt not win a NC with them?

Game planning? June runs one formation, and about 4, slowly developing pass plays. If the qb can get up off the ground, he jogs to the sideline and back, and tries it again.
Amazing the defense can perform the way it does, being on the field most of the game. Tom Mason has carried this team.

I think we finally cracked the code on the qb jog to the sideline! To give the defense more rest!
