Agree. The reconciliation will happen behind closed doors between June & the players, June & boosters, and June & admin. There isn't a PR event on the planet that will ever do enough good to quell the general fan discontent, and will likely exacerbate the situation. And in the end, with all due respect to all of us who love SMU, who cares anymore what he says? His word has already proven to be suspect, so for me as a fan all he can do is produce on the field and ride off into the sunset. He needs to sack up and do his job until the administration deems that his services are no longer required. I for one don't need anymore tweets, blogs, SID statements or pressers telling me what I already know: he shopped, he wanted to leave, he (intentionally or not) screwed a lot of people in the process by alienating his players, employer and principal backers and tampering with his best recruiting class. He's got much bigger damage control issues than the fans now, and those bigger issues can only be addressed in private. Answer me this: if he came out onto a stage and started bawling like Jimmy Swaggart saying "I have sinned against SMU!", would it really change your opinion that much?
