The Dallas Morning News story today made me ill. He really believes he is a man of faith. Most folks do not know that ASU hired a private investigator to check out Sheldon. Obviously they found out that his lifestyle doesn't necessarily match what he "preaches." BTW, my source was the same person who shared with me that SHeldon was meeting with ASU.

So he doesn't have many options outside SMU

His reputation took a big hit this past week. When a university pulls its offer due to background issues and the coach's agent continues to keep it public, his reputation continues to take a hit. Our recruits have got to be asking themselves if they want to be part of this circus. The coach looks for another job every year, he uses spirituality as a crutch while his personal actions are just the opposite. If this is the type of environment you want in your football program, then come to the Hilltop. How can Jones staying help recruiting now or the future?

we may in fact have the 'Brett Favre' of coaching commitment as our head coach...
in any case, I am far more pleased where SMU is headed now than in 2007. There will be others that court Jones, and he will continue to look, as long as we show a pulse of success.

Once again the Hawaiian pagan is crassly and misleadingly using Christianity for his own profit.
Re-read the statement. That doesn't mean he'll coach SMU the rest of his career, just that HE will be in Dallas -- meaning he'll travel here, maybe even keep a property or 2 here etc ...
Good grief. Stop griping.
What is there to re-read? He used Christianity as a "reason" why he took the SMU job so now he's using Christianity again as a "reason" for him to stick around when his [deleted] was on its way to Tempe. Again, what is there to re-read?
The ironic thing about him and his "inner city ministry" is that he clearly comes off like a morally bankrupt televangelist. Maybe we should rename him June Swaggart? For all you know, he might start crying in the middle of a press conference.
