Hotter cheerleaders?

I would settle for cheerleaders that are at least ok looking. Geeze. One area where TCU wins hands down.

I'm tired of TCU having hotter pom squad girls. SMU time to get your [deleted] together. One area that SMU is below average in...

Question for the media types: You see all kinds of big numbers being thrown around - but nobody seems to pay attention to the term of the agreement - if the 1.5 Billion number is a 20 year deal that is not all that exciting is you have 12 hands in the till. Is there a typical contract period they are referring to when they throw out that number? If a 5 year deal then now we got something going here....Hope our guys dont get stars in their eyes and have the smarts to keep the agreement 5 yrs rather then locked down too long - then numbers could get even bigger and you would hate to be locked out of the market. Do the contracts allow for either or both to cancel if something is not going well (i.s. longhorn network?)

Feel free to educate us.

I've heard, but I find it hard to believe that the BE contract is more lucrative per team than the Big XII contract due to the fact that UT and OU get the gravy and the other schools get the drippings. If that's the case, we'll be better off with the BE deal than TCU is with the Big XII. Travel will water down the earnings, but still it should be quite a pay day. I can imagine big crowds when Georgetown, Marquette, Notre Dame and Villanova come into town for hoops. Football may be more of a challenge since none of the BE schools except perhaps Boise travel very well. Now if Navy and AFA join, that will be huge.

Keep in mind - the Big XII had the smallest TV 'footprint' even BEFORE the Denver, KC, and STL markets left, not to mention the state of Nebraska and one of the largest, most rabid fanbases on the planet joined the SEC - Missouri and TAMU hurt their TV markets badly. TCU and WVU are nice addisitons, but they don't come close to replacing them.

The Big East was always built around TV markets, so they will at least get exposure. How that translates into acutal dollars, I don't know.

what about likely term of the contract? Seems like even to a rookie it would be obvious that you dont want your contract to be locked down more then 5 yrs or you could leave big bucks on the table later.

the 1.5B is over how much of a term?

Maybe we will find out in 2012 when they start negotiating it.
