Every single one of them has cited their relationship with Klemm as being the #1 reason for committing to SMU, The only Cali recruits we will keep are Palacio and Hulick.

How dare AK announce his leaving on the SAME DAY we are getting major publicity in NYC announcing our joining the Big East conference!

Klemm actually lied about it, though. Said on Twitter three days ago he was remaining here and continuing with this class and this program, and then bolts for UCLA anyways. I'm curious to see whether the moral militia on here who so fiercely condemned JJ will come down as [deleted] Klemm

Klemm seemed to get along well and had the respect of the players compared to some of the other coaches..maybe it is the super bowl rings and the classy togs! Worried about his recruiting though....Great results send up warning flags! Hopefully because he is just a good salesman.

Only hope of salvaging this class is to HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN RECRUIT TEXAS. But we will get one of the lei wearing fraud's old buddies who wants to get a nice six figure job doing the bare minimum like the vast majority of our coaches. It's kind of like a retirement home.

Why isn't everyone in an uproar about Klemm? The guy said publicly he would NOT be leaving. JJ kept it all private (minus his boneheaded agent) and never lied to anyone. I've lost all respect for Klemm, ESPECIALLY if he starts pulling our recruits. GFY, Klemm!

You people that think a recruit choses a school only because of one recruiting coach are not really that up on the process i guess. They spend a ton of time going through all elements of the school - its a comittment of time and resources on the part of the player and family - and it is tough to start over from scratch. Relationship matters for sure - but there are other reasons they commit.

Its like there is a rush on this board to predict the most dire result of any news - lest someone mistake you for an optimist or something. Chill out. Of the cali guys we lose two at the most - and we might even be able to grab some others from some of these other staff changes.

would be nice to hire a Houston or A&M guy that just got displaced and go take advantage of someone elses recruiting relationships.

If we replace Klemm, Mason and JR with three guys that hustle we are at a net positive.

Because we all knew he was leaving. Jones told us as much.

Not especially hoyle that he lied on twitter. Just stay quiet. Very unprofessional.

Klemm was selling SMU and that was of the main reasons he was successful. I've spoke to him many times and he a very likable guy. But ultimately he was just a recruiter selling SMU and June Jones. I expect we won't loose as many recruits as smome think, especially non OL's.

Good point. Can he sell Ucla the same way he sold the SMU experience? Probably, but he knows Jones a lot better than he knows his current boss. All those quotes he had about the value of an SMU degree...does it work the same at UCLA to guys who know exactly what that school is? We shall see...

I wish him the best and honestly think he will turn in to a fantastic coach in a few years.

I just dont like the fact he blatantly LIED on his Twitter account before leaving. Funny, I dont see any uproar over that from his committed disciples who relentlessly bashed on June- did I miss it?

Agreed, my friend. Way more deceitful than JJ.
