Re: Say it ain't so Mace
I can only hope that SO and the CofC will decide to clean house after the bowl game. We have just lost (possibly) our two best recruiters and our DC. It looks to me that TM left for a job that was really no better than here. Did JJ possibly run him off? Our D was what kept us in a lot of our games as our O totally struggled.

Haven't told the players. I'm not a Graham-ass, I won't text it. Well, maybe I will to Sheldon.
Re: Say it ain't so Mace
are you all saying that the poster commonly known as Gotcha is/was actually our defensive coordinator? I dont know if i am spending too much time on this board or not enough.

HF- good question. The implication seems to be that gotcha is TM.

Tom Mason is way, way to professional to go posting on message board. Not saying that Gotcha doesn't know anything, just saying he isn't TM.
Of all the coaches, I would be most sad to see Coach Mason leave. He is a great guy, and I have enjoyed watching his defense play the last two seasons.

We went 9 quarters without allowing an offensive touchdown. This will hurt.

Also, I would be really surprised if this is true. No coach is going to take a step down to a non-BCS school at the same position with all of the talent he has coming back.

Coaches do come and go...but man, these past 2 weeks have really hurt. We keep June without any of his assistants that actually do anything. I really enjoyed watching Coach Mason's defense. Not a surprise that he is in demand, I wish him the best of luck.

This is entirely too possible. The new coach at CSU was a coach at Fresno St. the same time TM was coaching there.
I really hope we don't lose Mason. I would rather see JJ go first.

Gotcha has been Nostradamus getting the Klemm and June Jones stories right before anyone in SMU community-somebody guessed he was Tom Mason a few days ago. Its a gag-I think

Re: Say it ain't so Mace
I think all SMU coaches see the writing on the wall. They are jumping ship as soon as they can. They know the ramifications of what JJ did in the past 10 days as well as a possible dip next year. So they are getting out while the getting is good like their head coach tired to do.
