Bi East. I like that. Now that it extends all the way to the West coast, you could say it swings both ways.

Yup, attendance should be priority 1. We do not want to be another Temple.
Anyone know how we are doing on our bowl allotment?

As for the Penn St. comments, Orsini dad and brother played at Penn St. and he was recruited by Penn St.

a. JJ has returned SMU to the top.
8-5, 7-7, 7-5 records while much improved over the previous coaching regimes, still leave plenty of room for improvement. Was Orsini saying that June has taken the program as far as he (June) can take it?

Great for him to speak at the biz school - that alone is marketing to your key audience.
Appreciate his statements, glad to see the school iand the program are moving in the right direction.

Instead of being "very upset" about attendance, June Jones needs to worry about beating Navy.

Would have been better if he wouldn't have waited until all of the students were done with finals and left campus

I have no problem having a coach other schools want.
What I have a problem with is having a coach we can't trust. A coach who keeps his SMU gear in the locker at Ford.

It wasn't for the students. It was a BOT sponsored event and Collins was packed largely with execs.
And we wonder why our suites are full and our student section is empty...

I really didn't intend for this to be a negative thread. The good folks at Cox and BOT planned this some time ago. I'm sure SO will have more events targeting students in the future.
Cox puts on some wonderful events and this was a good event, don't get me wrong, but they need to be in front of the students and young alumni a heck of a lot more than they are.
Does anyone know if Doherty still goes to the Greek houses to reach out to students? He used to be pretty much our only athletics representative that interacted with students
