Barf, annoying channel 8 anchor lady said they were wearing purple for TCU. I don't get it. How do they get media attention and bandwagon fans for a mediocre bowl?

I am optimistically choosing to believe that this is due to the fact that TCU is playing their bowl game today, and that SMU will get similar attention/treatment when the BBVA Compass Bowl rolls around in a couple of weeks. We won't, of course, but I am choosing to believe it. :)

For crying out loud, don't we own a building or two besides Central Towers? Huge Banner downtown would be cool -- like the Massive ones on the sides of buildings.

We need to revamp the marketing department big time, billboards and banners downtime would be a start. Anyone have a picture of the Hunt building with TCwho on it?

Build a program that wins football games consistantly, despite a lack of blue chip recruits.
Attend bowl games annually.
Thrill fans on national stage with upset win in Rose Bowl, against bigger, stronger, higher profile team.
Market program.

Yes, let's check off that list before we even bother telling Dallas that we have a football team...

I'm not lamenting the fact that Dallas isn't tossing out with ticker-tape before every SMU game; I'm astonished that we can't get the same treatment that the Stars, Mavericks, Rangers, Cowboys and now TCU get from a building owned by someone sitting on our freaking board.

Ill be honest here. If SMU had gone undefeated two years straight. And played the 2011 schedule they still would not sell out its 35,000 stadium. I blame no one exsept your own. Minus the few faithful.

Dallas has so many people from other places and their loyalty remains there.

On a side note: Is there one FBS team with out a marketing department? Or is the mob boss smart enough to know it wont matter.

Since, sadly, I will miss this bowl game, I am making Friday AND Saturday (6th & 7th) SMU days by wearing my SMU stuff!

Ross Perot Jr. is also a huge Frog. Hunter (his son) goes to TCU.
