Does Pitt quality?
yeah that's what I'm talking about. Along with the TCU victory I'd be in a more receptive mood to an extension

He can wait until the Feb. recruits have signed. Then let's see how good of a class we actually end up with. If JJ isn't going to push recruiting and make his coaches recruit then we need a replacement. He did a great job of effing up this class.

Re: Where is the extension?
if JJ gets an extension then we have to fire him he gets paid a lot of money to buy out his contract. might as well let him stay though his current contract and hire someone new. after all, don't most of us believe this is as good as it gets with JJ?
the thinking an extension is necessary to recruit with the current coach means a contract is unending.

94- yes and unfortunately Jeff R is the only one that seems to get the idea that you need great recruits to succeed on the field.

Jeff Reinebold isn't doing any thing different than what every other Coach in the Country should be doing except he tells you how great he is on Twitter by pumping average prospects

Agree with you Stallion. But if he can somehow get the two defensive players from Manvel to switch their current commitments from Arkansas and AFA to us, he can tweet and FB till the cows come home. He is undoubtedly the best recruiter on our current staff, FWIW.
See you in B'ham!

Other coaches post on Facebook too, about average prospects even. Just that all of the reinebold posts are copied here. I remember a klemm Facebook status update when Briggs committed specifically.
It seems to me that reinebold's Facebook status updates are targeted at kids he is recruiting, so I think it is probably a good idea for him to make them as positive as possible.
Kids might not feel so great if he said he was on his way to visit an recruit that was average at best and the recruit knows he is talking about him.
20 years ago the coaches were blowing smoke to kids on the phone and it was private, now they do it on Facebook as well, but it is the same smoke. Just because we have access to it does not mean he is doing it to tell us how great he is, that seems like a somewhat negative take on the situation.

If you listen to the radio interview on another thread--JJ references being here for 6 more years. I really hope that I misunderstood the interview.
It makes sense to me.

Yeo agree Wuba-----He TOTALLY does it to assist his/SMU's recruiting efforts and he will tell you the same. These 'general' posts go directly to the recruits and their families.

Re: Where is the extension?
as long as he gets rid of the geldings. How long is he going to torture us with those monstrosities. I saw him in Stillwater ok last week. He was there at there at the Atherton. He was there to thank T. Boone Pickens, The two OSU students who ride the geldings andto see what Gundy's up to. I have pictures, but they are on my wife's cell phone, so i hope to download them when i figure out how to. maybe by Monday.

I wonder if he was also there to thank TBP for screwing us and promoting froggie high to the big bevo conf.. I hope he was there on his own nickel as SMU shouldn't be paying for him to visit non-friends of our university.
