Too be honest I am pretty pleased with how recruiting is shaping up. We still have a lot of solid verbals...considering where we were several years ago. This would be the icing on the cake.

@ @ksimmonsnla facilities were crazy!! Prolly best I've seen. But idk if I could spend 4 years there

Apparently he is not that big into Lawrence, Kansas. SMU being in Dallas might be a big factor.

Ooooh...so there's hope! I just figured with Crist and then Heaps, KU has stud QB's for the next three years.[/quote.]

It's Kansas. It's a basketball school. Memorial Stadium is one of the worst in the Big 12. Let's not get carried away about them having stud QBs and all that. They aren't exactly the destination place for big-time recruits. They're a second-rate BCS school and will stay that way with the exception of a year here and there.

Calm down.

I hear Heaps was on KU's campus last weekend and "loved his visit"...let's hope Dieter doesn't care.

Holy crap, KU just scored Heaps TOO!! Good thing it looks like SMU is going to be in FANTASTIC shape for talent, as Dieter be a Jayhawk...

Weis is making an immediate impact. Good for Kansas. Possibly the biggest recruiting day in KU history. If Phillips comes here then Dieter is not as much a must have because Phillips could bring better receivers. But I still want him to come to SMU just not as much of a make or break situation if Phillips is really hired.

Personally, I would take Gilbert over either of them, but depth doesn't hurt.

Heaps would fit our offense well.

I'd rather have the two-fer over Gilbert, that's 3 straight seasons with a former 5 star recruit at QB. Those 2 also put up better numbers as starters than Gilbert.

Not saying Reinebold would leave and go to Hawaii if Norm Chow offered but if that happened to be the case then who would be recruiting Dieter?

Trying to get a read on Dieter's decision from his tweets, etc ... said he'd go to the Dallas/Heat game if he committed to SMU but he seems to have made his decision right after visiting Kansas which makes me lean towards Kansas.

He's also tweeted that he doesn't know if he could spend 4 years in Lawrence so take that for what its worth. Who knows what 18 year olds are thinking.

I did not know Kansas' facilities were that much better than ours.
