Can be be a starter? HELL no, but practice squad or 3rd string MIGHT be possible. I wouldn't put money on it though.
And june will get him some looks.

I'm glad he went out on a winning note and it was significant that he threw no interceptions, but I wasn't that impressed with his performance. He's just not very accurate. I think his good day is more attributable to the quality of the receivers (especially DJ) than his performance. He did hit on the TD pass and I think he hit Beasley on a dead run on about a 7 yard pass but that's all I recall. The rest of the time they were diving for balls or watching it sail away.

Good job JJMcD, way to finish your college career on a high note. Good luck to you in your future endeavors.

NFL? No way. Doesn't have the accuracy. Even today, it took some circus catches by the receivers to save some of his ducks.
Under control? All except the play where he (again) tried to throw the ball when he was wrapped up and going down. With a lead like that, you take the sack and don't risk a turnover that can give the opponent points and momentum.
But that's why this is college and not the NFL. You can't expect perfection, but you can expect a gutty performance and that's EXACTLY what he gave today. Bravo, young man.

he played well; moved around enough to avoid some sacks and make some big plays. DJ was great and bailed him out on several inaccurate throws, but that's been the story all year long. I'm just glad it wasn't really windy. I had hoped that JJ Mc would look more like he did in the early season (after getting a couple weeks off to heal) and he did. No INTs yesterday and that was huge!

I thought this game went a long way toward rebuilding his reputation.
Healthy, he can be a serviceable quarterback. Alas, like others, I think he has played his last football. I don't see him playing at another level.

So happy he, ,and all of our hard working seniors, ended the season with a convincing win. Way to end the season and cheer in the new year!
BTW----3rd string NFL QBs can be very important---ask the Texans!!

Way to go, J.J. !
Looked to me like the talk about him being really banged up for the last month or more was true. The guy is smart and competitive, and after seeing some of the beatings he took this year, he is one tough SOB.
Well done, J.J., and thanks for putting your body on the line this year for the Ponies.

Big difference in being able to move around a little and avoid pressure.
Noticed that right away.
Glad he was able to go out on a winning note.

I am very happy for JJ. This win is definitely redemption for him as it confirms that his injuries are what caused many of the poor performances. I think his detractors need to step up to the plate and congratulate him, especially SMU_Alumni11!
