The only due he's going to get is what falls off a palm on his rocking chair.

To top it all off, not only did June seem pretty interested yesterday, but Turner in all his fun-hating glory seemed to be really into it and having a good time.

Turner likes football and drinks from a keg.

I say that and you know I'm one of his toughest critics.

agree that JJ, like Tom Landry, is somewhat stoic and will never be a rah rah type of guy, but there can be no denying he has been critical to turning this SMU program around.

Granted, there have been changes to allow a more competitive admissions process, but he brought credibility to the program because of what he had accomplished elsewhere. Hope he sticks around long enough to finish the job because this program is still in the rebuilding process.

I change the Chanel when he talks.

I've never known anyone to change colognes when someone was talking. June would probably change the "Chanel", too, if he heard you talk.

I'm glad that JJ had the team prepared. No question that they looked ready to play and win.
Hope this game will save some of the recruits that we planning on bailing and going to a different school.

GO PONIES!!!

I thought he looked like he was enjoying himself yesterday. I am hoping, for everyone's sake, that maybe the asu thing ends up being a blessing in disguise. I thought he looked more approachable rather than distant and not caring---a little humbled, if you will.

In your head. June is a very unemotional dude. So any quip out of him like mentioned here is positive. I talked to Gary cogill on the way here and he said that June viewed the way the asu deal happened as sort of Devine intervention.

That was a good win yesterday, and the team looked prepared. No complaints at all. Made for a great day in Mustang revenues.

I have been lucky enough to go see my alma mater in a bowl game in each of the three years.
At that rate, I hope he remains our coach for a long time.

The haters will keep on hating. He is not perfect. But given the day, the actions and words by those most directly affected speaks volumes. The team was ready and focused. An excellent win. If the kids respect the man, ED respects the man, so can I.

Go Ponies!

Talked. breifly to Jones before and after the game. He was focused prior to the game and engaged and gracious after the game. Felt he as very appropriate to the situation and part of SMU

I would imagine he appreciated the turnout as well. I was really impressed by how many people showed up wearing red to pull for the 'Stangs. JJ had to notice and appreciate that

I am sure June wanted to show ASU Fans he could beat Todd Grahams old team handily with lesser rated talent lol. I think he seemed happier than he had all year.
