Guys I like the positive outlook but every single one of my friends that are Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, and Florida alum's say that if they take anyone else they want the the 5 pound Bass i.e. Oklahoma or Texas. The SEC could be a long shot but they're going to take the big dog first then pick up small schools. Hell I heard TCU was speaking with the SEC before their B12-2 invite. Lets keep this BE going, think of the BE has the starter wife and other conferences has potential trophy wifes. The BE will guide us through our pitfalls and help us gain success while not expecting huge things from us, but once we start gaining more success thats when we can start looking around for the trophy wife.

This ^^^^. Then I can go to TCF Bank Stadium and cheer for the Mustangs against the Gophers. And I would do that that and wouldn't think twice about doing that.

Mrydel, you know I would.

You did, nobody wants to hear about the [deleted] MN Gophers, you talk about the B1G all of the time. The B1G is slow, boring, and living off of accomplishments from 15 years ago

Actually, mrydel initiated the Big 10. If he hadn't done it, I wouldn't have responded. But never let facts get in the way of you argument.

And I'd cheer for SMU over Minnesota and wouldn't give it a second thought.

And if you don't know my connection to Minnesota, then I can't help you.

I am all for the Big East experience as long as it lasts. But the attitude of "we are not good enough so we need to stay where we are" is what will get us left behind. I am not talking about next year or the year after. I am looking ahead to the time when there might be 4 sixteen team leagues and I would like to be in one. We need to concentrate on winning, but also on increasing our attendance and name recognition. EVENTUALLY we will need to be ready in case the BE begins to collapse into other conferences. That is not dreaming but rather be prepared for the future.

I'm all about the future but you're right with all the things we need to start doing well. I just grew up one day and realized its more harm then good to put the cart before the horse

But why have a horse and cart if you have no where to go?

Sugar Bowl? Seriously? Did you see how terrible and boring VT is? And aside from a robbery by the replay crew, VT should've beat Michigan it was a touchdown. Don't come in here with that weak [deleted] about Michigan in the Sugar Bowl, Michigan didn't deserve it. Hell OU, Baylor, Arkansas, or Boise deserved it 15 times more then Michigan. The B1G is weak and losing ground every year. What was the B1G bowl recrod this year? How about last year?

What a sour grapes argument. If Va Tech lost to somebody other than the Big 10 you probably would have shrugged your shoulders. Sonce it's me and the Big 10 you made this personal.

I got over New Years Day. Apparently you didn't get over the Sugar Bowl.

You brought up the Sugar Bowl chief, not me. My point is this, VT is not a quality team. You shouldn't be so proud of Michgian for barely beating a weak team who in my opinion did win the game.

Well your opinion and a $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee. You brought up New Years Day and I countered w the Sugar Bowl. Obviously you didn't like it and proceeded to make excuses and dismiss a result.

Just get over the sour grapes as you try to spin your way out of the Sugar Bowl talk. The replay showed what it showed. That's why we have replay. Tough call. It happens.

Deal with it.

Go Mustangs!

Since you asked for my long-term plans:

2012 - Prostrate exam

2013 - Colonoscopy

2014 - Buy a house in Highland Park from Rogers Healey

2015 - Hook up with one of the Kardashians

2016 - I'll probably be dead by 2016. There's no hope.

Not thinking ahead is how SMU got left behind by the SWC first and then by TCU. My plans are built around the goal of staying relevant in college FB. The actions are what need to happen to make sure a big east implosion doesn't relegate us to Cusa again.

As for the SEC v PAC 12, either would be fine (big12 would be best). I suggested PAC 12 over SEC because they have more slots available.

Bottom line, as long as DDodds is alive, big 12 unlikely.
