Definitely the most pleasant surprise of the trip.

The whole thing from top to bottom was just awesome - thanks to SMU and the people of Birmingham for a fantastic weekend.

Agree with everyone else's thoughts on this; the best time I've ever had at a football game ! Can't wait until next year and (hopefully) Liberty Bowl / Memphis, here we come !

I'm still pissed I dropped about a hundred on a rental car and parking which was never needed as apparently ever step of every day of the trip was covered by complimentary shuttle

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip. The Ponys looked awesome and we loved the Sheraton hotel accommodations. We didn't know about the shuttle and got a rent car. But turned it in Saturday and took the hotel shuttle Sunday morning. Beautiful weather also.

Compass and SMU people did a great job. Shuttle from the airport to the hotel, hospitality room at the hotel-open bar, shuttle to Five Corners, Open bar begining before the pep rally, shuttle back after dinner, shuttle to the game and back and a shuttle back to the airport.

It was a great weekend for SMU fans, and it was awesome to meet so many people (and do many pf.com posters)!

We stayed a bit out of town so that I could golf, but we went to the Sheraton after the game and it was so cool to see all of the fans and meet people who love smu football as much as I do. Thanks to everyone involved for creating a great atmosphere.

Plan:
Save a thousand dollars and keep a weeks vacation in your pocket for next time. My wife and I had a blast sight seeing our way to and from the game.
SMU fans, get used to it and plan for the future.

Ditto to all these comments. It was a great weekend. Everyone associated with SMU can be proud of the school and the fans in the way we took Birmingham.

Don't think we're going to get that kind of turnout in Hawaii.

Some say we had 3,500 fans, others claim 6,000, whatever the number, it was was a very special day for Mustang fans!

Felt like it was closer to 20K. 10hr road trip in and a 12hr road trip out due to weather. Tailgated and stayed in the parking lot in my RV. Yes, I had my gun and yes we had a great party all night long.
