I find it ironic that he wasn't a top 100 recruit when he was still listed as an SMU recruit. Maybe it's the skeptic in me, but these rankings have a huge bias towards large public, BCS-type schools. If they're interested in someone, it's as if the receiver just got faster or was gifted with a better set of hands. I realize it's a barometer that needs to be used, but I really do find it ironic that this change recently took place even though he probably hasn't been playing for a while now.

I think it was his performance in the postseason all-star game, the Offense-Defense bowl or whatever it was called, that helped boost the rating.

You make an interesting point though

You may be right. I've become skeptical to a lot of things in college football lately.

He was MVP in about 3-4 combines too-this is the time of year they readjust the ratings. I really can't say he didn't deserve it and I said I thought he deserved to be upgraded when he was an SMU commit too. I'm still suspicious and a little incredulous he didn't get more offers-hints of academic issues but then he lists strong academic schools. Interesting to see if he qualifies

He's a good receiver but I don't think his speed has ever blown anyone away.

He is an excellent route runner and excellent hands. That's what we need in the offense we have now. You are right about the speed but he does have adequate speed.

There are a lot of those out there. We'll get some, we won't get all.

There are a lot of kids that are have excellent hands, run excellent routes, and are position MVP winners at all star games? Could you list the ones we out there? And please list the ones out there that we are going for? That would be more encouraging for sure than to just make a statement with no facts to back it up.

Wow you need to actually use the things called the interwebs invented by Al Gore, before posting about things you know nothing about.

WSU in 1997 on their way to the Rose Bowl in 1998 beat USC 28-21 in Los Angeles. They finished 10-2 after losing to Michigan 21-16 after a failed attempted spike of the ball on the 21 yard line as time ran out. Kind of like a game in bowl season this year.

In 2002 they lost to Ohio State in week 3 and Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl. They beat USC in overtime and finished 10-3. The next season they beat Texas in the Holiday Bowl to finish in the top 10 again for the 3rd straight season. Leach is sitting on a gold mine right now.

Oh and I thought I would pile it on for you as Robert Lewis just committed to WSU tonight. Man it must suck to have a coach that sold your team down the river only to be rebuked at the last minute. Score WSU 4 SMU 0

Good luck, maybe you can get those kids a job with you down at the filling station after they graduate (God knows there's not much else you can do with a Wazwho degree).

I would be surprised if all the recruits that switched from SMU to Wazzu last 4 years academically. Enjoy Pullman, WA for the next 4 years, if you last that long. *YAWN*
