Rice is in hand and Walling looks to be coming. Who next after those two?

Guard against our recruits being poached by Sun Belt teams would be a good start.

I'm still in shock we lost a good recruit to FAU. I thought it was a fictitious university the first I heard about it. Oh boy.

I think we lost that recruit to his grandmother.

Still it looks bad publicly to lose a recruit to FAU.

If his granny exerts that type of influence on him than he was never going to be a Mustang for very long even if he had signed.

Grandma = PC. Pelini sold him on going to FAU, and oh look! Magically the puzzle pieces fit.

I guess you do not have a good understanding of how close family relationships can be in the
South. If there was any recruiting going on by FIU, it was of the grandmother not the player.

I think it's Pelini making a good, hard sell on FAU and pushing to keep talented FL players from heading out of state. Pelini won, and Mr. Burton would like to go and play for him. I guess I'm jaded; wasn't helped by Printz's brief stay on SMU's commitment list.

From indications we have hired Pawpaw to be our next offensive line coach.

Or possibly we hired Pawpaw to be our oline coach since our oline wasn't as good as they could be. Our line sometimes played like the Poon squad rather than the Goon squad.

I guess Pawpaw will fix it like he fixed UCLA's line and recruit just as well as he did at UCLA.

Any reason we're calling him Pawpaw?
