SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Sometimes during 2002-2006 the band was playing something called "cadence"...I think it was a little bit different than "beans"...does anyone recall that?

FYI It is call "BEANS".
I know that, but I wasn't sure how many others would...so I called it a shuffle. It's really a lot of fun and it's great to see the students get into it...need more of us on the west side to join in too.

That's what happens when you start making a list. I'm just giving you a hard time. There are a lot of good folks in our section and to list them all would take up a full page. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this fall.
