Did you watch Texas play last year? What makes you think that offense would handle up on TCU's defense? Not sure about a 2nd place finish for them but I think TCU will be just fine next year in the B12.

We should mark this whole thread under the "We don't give a [edit] category". Guys, we shouldn't care what some third-tier paper has to say about a football program of a third-tier school. This whole prediction by DMN is totally meaningless and only looking to stir the pot so that it generates some sales. Unless the news applies to us, why do we care. The toads will be cellar dwellers to middle-of-the-pack at best in this conference. Let's move on...

Kind of like a child of a divorced couple.

I think TCU will do well next year. Their QB Pachall was good in his 1st year and will only get better. I predict a good season from him.

I hope the frogs lose every game except against the cows, I hate them even more.

agree; they still have a lot of talent. At least we get them at Ford. They will be ready to get back at us. That would be a huge win for SMU and a great environment at Ford...the kind JJ and all of us want to see more often

Here is something that I think will have a big impact on them and us next year when we start playing in the BE. It will be the impact of every week playing teams that are bigger and deeper. It is one thing to have 2 or 3 big teams on your schedule but to have 8 or 9, injuries are going to be a factor. I think they will do well, probably better than .500, but I don't expect them to be the #2 team. Their conference schedule last year minus Boise was really pretty easy compared to this year.

Should be interesting to watch and I would expect a similar phenomon next year with us.

Having lived in Austin all my life and being constantly subjected to UT's fans, arrogance, t-shirts and nonstop local radio hoopla...

I think my disdain for UT eclipses my enthusiasm for all my favorite teams.
If they lose badly and frequently, I'm having a good year no matter what.

And since SMU and Texas Tech have been ruined, you can imagine my low level of general interest in football.

This weather is getting to me...

Despite some Pony Poster's hard ons for TCU....they will struggle in the Big 12. Last time they played competition like this was in their SWC days and they sucked...BAD!

Cue forward to the WAC, C-USA, and MWC..no where near...NOT EVEN CLOSE, to what they will be facing in the Big 12. THey will have to play big guns each week, no rest....

They will struggle, just like Baylor, for many years, and wish that they had just went on the to the Big East.

The froggies will be with Iowa State....they may pull an upset every now and then, but will never challenge for anything.

Hide and watch...they can no longer surprise anyone and the Horns and Sooners..and even Baylor and Tech will [deleted] slap them down to the poor little sisters they are.

Those that think Texas is an easy win are kidding themselves. They will be back in the title game in 3 yrs max

The Big 12 isn't that great these days and TCU is much better than you think. They got the talent.. just look at their recent recruiting classes. They were good last year with a bunch of freshmen. There will be vast improvement in their team with a full year under their belt.

My conversations with Coach Patterson confirm this. The Frogs will play at 11 Eastern Time in West Virginia, then board a plane and get to Austin in time for a game at 8 CST. Patterson said it would be hard, but he thought they could do it.
