funny, I thought most 4-5 star guys with lots of options had a tendency to pick schools that draw 80k to home games and play in higher profile conferences; maybe even have a shot at playing for the National Championship

We don't draw 30K to home games and haven't been in any kind of National Championship contention in decades. There are more issues that go beyond the coaching staff for why we won't get those kind of recruits. I don't think anyone on the staff is that great of a recruiter besides Philips, who frankly hasn't impressed me that much(but it is too soon to have a verdict on him, so any judgement isn't fair at this point).

I just wish our staff made more noise on the recruiting scene. I won't beat a dead horse and complain about JJ's lack of activity, but I do think we need to step it up(especially JJ).
