Good research. Can you explain how TCU also claims to be NCs that year? I believe someone named them NCs (maybe an obscure organization, I do not know).

We beat them that year, the only difference is they won their bowl game and we lost ours.

The Williamson Poll (pretty minor) chose TCU and LSU in 1935. I can't find when their final rating came out, but LSU lost their bowl game
