please - grow up. this is a 2.4M job X 4 yrs - = big money its fine to take some time and get it right. if some two bit no nothing fans get anxious - who cares. you don't know why you are talking about so go ahead and get tense - it matters not.

Most companies can't hire a staff accountant or admin in 3 weeks.

We are on our 7th candidate now if you include the LB State coach. We could have pulled the trigger with Bruce Webber.
VERY FRUSTRATED and not happy that we are being passive. The window has closed on the top 10 coaches available.
Grow up? I give a lot of money to the program and have been a season tix holder for a long, long time. Sick of this.
Give us a great coach and get basketball minds involved in the process - trust me, it's Turner at the top and its closed off. This is not right.

Seems Kansas State, Illinois, South Carolina, Ohio, and others have . Excuses at this point are not holding water.

Same was said when we were the last one to fill our football coach vacancy.

See my other post on the other thread. Not an apples to apples comparison at all. But June was a big name hire so I guess you are saying we get that exact same type of big name hire. Fine we will see if your prediction comes true. Not being a pessimist not optimist just being a realist.

I am looking forward to your next update on where we are in the search. It should be winding down one would think.

Seems like some around here think mighty highly of SMU basketball and got their hopes up. Hate to wake all of you to reality, this is not a top gig. All the schools that filled their coaching positions or the coaches that have stayed put went/stayed because it's a much better gig. When are people at SMU going to figure out that money does not solve problems. It can alleviate mistakes much faster but it does not solve problems.
And please, any of you that are that worried that you think you need to be on "suicide watch", do us all a favor and just pull the trigger already.

I didn't say all of that....Weber apparently used us as leverage to get the K State job...and Buzz maybe had some interest but the Marquette regime made for absolute certain he wasn't going anywhere. The others I don't know about. Amaker would be good but someone else said he turned us down twice.....

Why not Theus? Why not now? Show some courage and get a former Big East assistant who can bring recruits in from all over Texas.
