In speaking with Terry Hemme yesterday, we are up 20% in season tix sales, compared to this time last year. The home schedule is the best in years (Captain Obvious here). Does that compare to tcu's 30K? - no. Still think if we could get the Boulevard peeps in the stadium, our numbers would improve dramatically.

We need to win a couple of home sellouts to generate some momentum - give part-timers or some-timers a reason to come back to Ford. Our most recent opportunity was against Army and we laid an egg. An awful day for SMU football. We had a "chance" to develop a following as a result of the last Ford win over TCU but then we hit the skids in subsequent games and returned to afterthought status. Can we average 25,000 per this year?

25,000. SMU Fans? Or including Aggies and Frogs? 25,000 is a ridiculous low goal when the Aggies and TCU fans will fill Ford. That's 2 guaranteed sellouts. We'd probably only need to average 20,000 in our other 5 home games to reach 25,000 average in 2012.

A 20% increase is a great bump. Fanbases aren't grown overnight. I think SMU's athletic department has done a masterful job with the ooc schedules. Keep winning more often than not and your ooc schedules plus BE slate should give you a solid season ticket holding baseline.

Do you all sell SMU-TCU tickets individually? Or are they only available as part of a "game plan" or season ticket package? Probably a moot point for me anyways as I'm sure the game will get moved to a Thursday or Friday.

Unless we charge $100 per game ticket with an additional required $100 donation to the Mustang Club, for those two games.

Make the Frogs and Aggies buy a freakin' season ticket and sell out the stadium for each and every game.

Best idea. You can buy a season ticket for $98 (pretty good deal for 7 home games). That's less than the face value of a ticket to the Texas vs. OU game. People got money - and they will pay to see these 2 games.
