The visitor section should be bleachers on mockingbird.

Put sand and industrial fans around their alumni tent.

We should offer Collie Burgers in the visitors concession!

and those 1500 tickets should be shoved into an area for 1,000 seats. No one should be allowed closer than 10 yards behind the back of the end zone, no higher than 20 feet, made of wood without backs, and on the side of the field--end zone tickets are too good.

All "howdys" aside. The tailgating and fan experience around Kyle Field is one of the most overrated I have ever experienced. Don't get me going on how bad the large endzone section is to viewing the game. so high cameras are unable to focus. Looks good on tv though. SMU is one of the best around the stadium experiences there is before a game. Unfortunately it is so good people stay on the boulevard and don't come into the stadium making the interior of Ford one of the worst fan experiences for the home team.

So were in the visiting student section. The visitors section was on the sidelines, literally beginning ten yards from the back of the end zone. People were laughing about their seat locations on the 30, that's minus 30 yards from the goal line!

looks like juniors red and blue colors got wet and faded into maroon. Oh well, win some lose some.
Not all 'alumni' are true red and blue.

GO PONIES!!!

And don't forget that we should charge extra for access to the temporary sheep pens that will be located on the old Mrs Bairds property. Guess there is the opportunity to get 'bread' there- at least for the f-aggies.

there is no "home side". There is a visitor SECTION on the same side where our band, students and other alumni buy seats.

On the note of obnoxious aggies, I sat in Rossley's seats with his wife as a guest last season and the people around us were very cordial to me and the other SMU alumni I was with. Let's show the same courtesy.

What's the face value of the A&M tickets? I expected SMU to do some mini-season plans before releasing to the public.

gimme a [deleted] break. everyone knows i'm 100% SMU and always have been. My aggie friends are guys that love A&M football yet show up at 75% of SMU home games (typically blvd only), which is still probably more than a lot of SMU "fans". he's probably been out to support us more than a lot of people even if he's only been to a couple of games.

basically, put up or shut up. he shows up, is a great friend who supports SMU football and wants to see his alma mater. i have no problem hooking him up.

"been out to support us more than a lot of people even if he's only been to a couple of games"
Sounds like a lot of fans that the faithful complain about. At least he's coming to the boulevard. Are those fans the ones most likely to be converted into season ticket holders?

Is the target audience the higher income residents of the Dallas area?

TCU game sounds a lot more fun since it won't be over-run with opposing fans, although there will be plenty!, and will be the Frogs' first year in the Big 12 coming off a loss to the Ponies.

yeah quite frankly I could care less who buys the tickets as long as their sold. Its not like there has been a problem for a single living SMU fan to buy season tickets if they want them. Its time to either buy season tickets or get left out. SMU has been to 3 straight Bowl Games-there is no excuse for our pathetic season ticket sales that are less than when the stadium opened. Reducing supply might actually force some "fans" to get off their ass-finally. I think its great that SMU fans will have to either get onboard or miss some big games this year. In the long run it will help us sell season tickets because of limited supply.

"And don't forget that we should charge extra for access to the temporary sheep pens that will be located on the old Mr's Bairds property."

This is over the top! The SMU game is not officially set aside or designated as date night, so the pens won't be necessary...
