Do you know how many people get arrested on every weekend in Austin?

There is a big difference between a rape arrest and a class c misdemeanor.
I didn't say it was the same thing, I only said u.t. players are always getting

arrested for something, are you one of those cow lovers?
Having done criminal defense in my past, I know how to distinguish between serious crimes and [deleted] tickets the Austin pd hands out to college kids. Vilence, sell drugs, DUI, guns = serious. Any "crime" involving urination, mouthing off, pot, underage drinking, or streaking is unlikely to be serious.

This is no different from when some frat guy gets caught taking a leak outside a bar. No big deal.
The Travis County Atty will give ask for deferred adjudication, small fine, and costs. Btw Austin PD does not look the other way. If anything, many of them have grudge against UT students.

I graduated from UT law after SMU.
I am also a lawyer, I have studied and taught at UT, and I have represented UT students in court. Believe me, the Campus Police, APD, and the city and county prosecutors do look the other way sometimes.

Yes. A SMU degree is very useful when it comes to getting in graduate school.

There were approximately 500 people in my law school class. As far as I can tell, there were ZERO UNT grads. We had a TCU grad, but she dropped out to marry a Navy guy.

Given the nature of these offenses I would suggest that the perpetrators will be hazed by other UT athletes for being too soft after this :)

But I'm an oil and gas attorney, and roughnecks would out-do any UT player's weekend hijinks, anytime, and probably by noon on Mondays.

I am an oil and vinegar attorney. The only lawyer part of me is the dressing.

This is a lot of nothing... about nothing. A slap on the wrist and be on your way young men. Unless you can play a little roundball, then LB may come a calling.
