somewhere along the way someone with some experience had to have told him he was starting too big - but his ego wouldn't let him start at the bottom. reveals a bit of a character flaw. Grateful for his role in creating about the only really great history we have - but Senator? Nope.

And nobody will care again, if he comes around again. For those young enough that they don't remember him as a player at SMU, he's known as an ESPN analyst, not a political figure. To the under-50 generation, he is known for little other than arguing with Mark May.
