Which is a 15 yard penalty if they do so after the break of the huddle. Would have been nice to have the referees step up and make the right call

They didn't want Fatterson yelling at them.

You sure it is at the break of the huddle? I believe music/bands/etc. just cannot interfere with hearing the snap count, which would imply music/bands/etc must stop when the teams are set.

Found this on another website:
NCAA Rule 9-2-1(b)(6): Persons subject to the rules, including bands, shall not create any noise that prohibits a team from hearing its signals.
I believe that it has been discussed on here, and I've definitely heard this from sources that would know, that "signals" includes all sorts of pre-snap reads and that the ambiguity in the rules allows for penalization at any time after the huddle is broken.

It is my understanding that nothing will be done unless the coach complains to the officials. That is why Baylor continued their horn blasting during our offensive play when they played at Ford in the Bennett era. Ridiculous that Bennett did not do something if it is the coach's call.

Ridiculous that, like on so many things, we are the only ones thar care. Just play. You get a warning first anyway.
