Fashion Police review............most definitely could have been worse but these SUCK! Honestly, they look like they are made for girls..........very feminine, IMO. Not enough blue, I don't like the shoulder stripes either and I think they should have SMU (in larger letters) on the front. Peruna could have been on the sides of the arms or not at all. Very vanilla & unattractive (I say this and at the same time when thinking of all the other stupid Nike uniforms, guess I'm glad they opted for vanilla!!!). UGH.............

Not terrible, but one word sums it up........Boring!!!!

After reviewing the leaked photo of the new Nike SMU jersey, I believe this is not the game jersey. It reminds me of the Texas practice jersey (link below). Therefore I believe the image that has been leaked is a Nike SMU practice jersey. First thing I noticed was no conference affiliation patch. Second thing was the white belt on the pants. Third is the Texas practice jersey has the Longhorn logo on the chest like the Pony logo on the chest of the photo of the jersey leaked. Fourth, why would DJ or Dieter have a game jersey in their possession right now? I might be wrong, but I do feel like this is not the game jersey...

Also, thanks to Stallion... I believe my Nike SMU mockups are better than what Nike has come up with... I don't hate the new look, I just believe in K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid)...

For those of you that do not like the new look... I was convinced our home uni's would look like this...

I highly doubt this is a practice jersey. They probably wouldn't do two-color numbers on a practice jersey and the tagging is consistent with a real jersey.

I guess we will find out when fall practice starts. (or at the official uniform unveiling celebration which must be sometime soon!)

Speaking of the new uniform unveiling celebration, I imagine they will just do it for football, but it sure would be cool if they made it a big deal and had the new uniforms for all of the big sports: football, women's soccer, men's basketball, volleyball, men's soccer, and women's basketball!

Hopefully, at the very least, they will have pictures of the players from all of the sports in the new uniforms on the facebook pages for the various sports like the other big Nike schools do. There is nothing worse than having to wait to see new uniforms until they are actually on the field of play!

Pro: We avoided the "training bra" underarm patterns that still plaque many Nike schools.
Con: We got a Iowa St/Indiana Hoosiers re-tread.

I like them, more simple is more better.

Just to reassure all the football fashionistas, these will make them play better.

SMU Athletics just posted the same picture on twitter as a "sneak peek at the 2012 SMU Mustangs away jersey" so it's definitely real.

I really do hope that home jersey is blue again.

Any chance that we have black jerseys this year? Isn't that what all of the players want to wear?
