I think you are wrong that only Aggies would do this. I remember hearing that Duke sold more season tickets than ever one year when they made people buy season tickets to get a ticket to their home game against FSU.

beyond that, I do not see what is delusional about them buying SMU season tickets for just the one game if that is the only way to get the tickets they want. In what way are they deluding themselves in doing that?

Perhaps his calling them delusional was a non-sequitur regarding the previous sentence as they are clearly a delusional fan base, however their buying season tickets to get the SMU/A&M game is not the proof, but there is, oh so much proof otherwise.

Give me the horns over the aggies anyday of the week. At least the horns have skins on the wall...what has A&M ever done? Austin vs. College Station = no contest

I thought the comment was funny that the entire stadium is reserved for visiting fans. I would buy season tickets too, very cheap. Then our numbers will go up - people aren't going to buy them anyway.

I think a plus going into this game-and Baylor and TCU- is that our QB is used to being on the other side of football entitlement while playing these guys.

Tulsa a few years back had OU playing in Tulsa as well as OSU. Tulsa didn't sell individual game tickets but packages. For many faithful OU and OSU fans it was a great deal cause many couldn't get tickets to regular OU or OSU home games. And I seem to remember before the TCU game in 2010 that season ticket holders were given first shot at buying additional tickets. One would hope that is the case again for A$M and TCU this year. I'm not upset that other teams' fans buy our sesaon tickets. Great scheduling increases the potential for the big $

I think it is a huge plus to get fans of the Aggies going to our games.

Why? I think our best chance to move into a bigger conference is the SEC. This is how I would sell it to the SEC schools.

1) SMU is in a huge TV, media market.
2) LSU, Arkansas, and A&M have enormous fan bases within easy driving distance of Dallas.
3) SMU home games in Dallas against those teams would draw interest from the DMN and the local TV networks.
4) The Dallas TV market could be developed into a major SEC TV market.

Have we confirmed that if you buy the ticket package including the ATM game, the seating is on Mockingbird?

SMU probably has the best home schedule of any non-BCS school in the Country this year. We're damn lucky that we get A&M to play in Ford-might not see a UT or A&M ever again in a 32,000 seat stadium. What type of visiting team allocation did we give A&M? I wouldn't be surprised if we kicked in a bigger alottment that usual
