We need sacks then. I'm concerned about the other DE position. Grenier is ok, but we need a pass rushing specialist. I was really hoping Christian Holloway would step up, but I haven't heard anything about how he did in Spring which leads me to believe he is too green and is more like a year away.
Holloway sat out practice during the Spring due to some issue with a class transferring I believe. He should be ready to go now.
Ah, thanks for the update. I thought he practiced. Could get interesting then as I thought one of the coaches was attributed to saying that, when he was a SR in high school, that if he came in and started right away he would already be the most athletic defensive player we had.

Interesting to me is the Baylor OL against our D. Baylor's OL is probably the best part of their team right now and the whole OL returns. Watch RG3's first TD pass against Texas last year on you tube. RG3 had all day to throw. Interesting to see what Hunt and Davis etc. will be able to do to get to the QB.

Are the two projected starters really slow? I know Banjo had solid speed when he was there last year.
They're not burners and will get exposed when going up against track stars like Baylor has especially when the fatigue from a HUNO pace gets to them.
From what I have seen of your D your scheme does a great job of keeping people in front of you and making an offense execute down the field. Should be interesting to see how these guys perform if you are right.

I agree about the OL last year. They seemed to have very good pass protection. However, I thought I read on here that they are replacing 3 o-linemen?

Clarification on our OL-
We return 3 guys. 2 OT & 1 guard BUT the two tackles are moving to C & G.
So we have new tackles who were highly touted and are probably quicker than the guys who moved inside. Last year's LT Cyril Richardson was playing out of position at LT and was a pass protection liability. He'll be great at guard.
As for our pass pro we were pretty good at it with typical pass pro but went feast or famine pressure wise when we pulled the guard to simulate a power run. Puts a slower G on edge guys and isn't as sturdy as a typical dropback protection however it does put the safeties in a bind as it really sells the fake.
Grantland breaks the first TD vs UT down and you can see the pulling OG in pass pro as we sell the fake.
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-trian ... riffin-iiiIt is a double edged sword tactics wise-
- opens up bigger plays by messing with the safeties and their run reads
- Leaves you more vulnerable to pressure as it opens more gaps in pass pro

I recall Mason saying something like that.
