BEAT HOUSTON AND TULSA - That's all that matters in the conference season now.

Agreed. And we get them both at home. Let's promote, promote promote! Get butts in the stands.

No conference title and players can transfer right away without losing eligibility. I wonder how they'll respond to having nothing to play for.

I did not catch the part where it says players can transfer.

"The postseason ban means the promising football and men's basketball programs are not be eligible to compete in the Conference USA men’s basketball tournament or the C-USA football championship game. Players most likely would be free to transfer to other schools without having to sit out the upcoming season."

http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story ... ource-says

"A C-USA official said Tuesday that players can transfer within the conference as long as they notify the school of the recruitment."

"Seniors on the football team would also be able to leave immediately and transfer without having to sit out a year, because of a longstanding NCAA rule."

Doubt they will have too many transfers given that only player with 1yr of eligibility can transfer without sitting out a year. Recruiting/scholarship limits will hurt them, but being a state school they do have benefit of walkons to help slightly offset the loss.

Good news for us competitively, probably not good news for the image of the new BE
