Re: Which would be the BIGGER WIN this year...A&M of TCU

I think it would be amazing if we could beat both teams this year. June finally got his first signature win against our main rival TCU and I would like to expect that we can do the same this year. However, I think with A&M's recent move to the SEC would make that game a bigger win. Not only is A&M more well known around the country than TCU, think about the impact that could have on recruits as we can tell them we not only hung in, but we beat the only SEC team from this state.

aTm.
TCU wins aren't big, they are inferior and nothing to brag about when we kick their [deleted] (kind of like celebrating a win against a community college).

Let's run the table. Every year there's some team somewhere no one expects to have a banner year (remember Tulane back several years ago when they went undefeated and of course Boise State does it every year now but that wasn't always the case, Hawaii when they got to a big bowl after a record-breaking year, etc). Why not us be that team this year ?!?

If I have to pick one, it is the Sheep Boys hands-down - gotta take out the SEC team in your own house. Personally though, I think we need to get past the "signature win" mentality and start looking for "signature seasons". This has the ability to be just that. Extremely tough, yes, but nobody on this slate this year really scares me like they did in past years and I am tired of counting 7-5 as a success.

I totally agree that this could be that "signature season" we need (I frankly think that the 2013 class is a little down relative to last year's numbers of 3 star commits so far is because of the questions over if the BE is going to really be a BCS AQ conference - is even using "BCS/AQ" relevant with the new playoff system? I'm setting aside the "we aren't aggressive enough in our recruiting" argument at the moment.)
Having a signature season and going into the NBE the following year gives us a lot to sell to our 2013-2014 recruits for sure (which needs to include at least one 4 star-type talent in each class IMHO - of course, when we get RJS our 2013 class gets instantly bumped to top 25).
Anyway, we need PonyFans! to get behind these guys and root them on.

no-brainer for me...A$M. When was the last time we beat them??? We are now talking SEC. Of course, we fared well against Arkansas and they were in the SEC in those post Death Penalty years
We really need to win at least one of these games to build some positive momentum for the program

Trans a&m for sure. Would be all over ESPN and every SEC school would make fun of them. Beating TCU earns you 2 seconds in the spotlight.
