You obviously had not been watching the Cowboys in the few years prior to Tony Romo's taking over the QB position. If you had, you would have realized that the QB position was a revolving door. Do the names Quincy Carter, Clint Stoerner, Anthony Wright, Chad Hutchinson, VInny Testaverde, Drew Henson and Drew Bledsoe ring a bell? Those were some of the QBs that were playing for the Cowboys BEFORE Romo. Sorry, but if you think he's terrible, then you clearly have no clue. I guarantee you that a good number of teams w/o "elite" quarterbacks would be more than happy to have him.

People that think Romo is horrible don't know what they're talking about. No offense soccermom. Beasley having a decent game with 3 catches, and a nice return that was called back due to a penalty.

Cole was the Dallas Morning News Player of the Game on the Cowboys telecast with 7 catches for 104 yards. Unfortunately he left the game hurting. Hopefully he's okay, doesn't look like anything serious.

7 catches for 104 yards, very productive last night.
I'm predicting a Wes Welker like season if romo can get out of his own way.

Just amazing, some unknown guy from SMU showing up Cowboy veterans. Wish my Lions would've been smart to pick him up, but they can't even get their WR core right, Stovall should be out there with his height , would create 2 6foot5 wideouts (one being Calvin johnson Jr.) but I guess I'm in the wrong website for discussing Detroit stuff.

Please, I'm in no way offended and PAMR is right because since Jerry Jones bought them I haven't been a fan. The only reason I am watching now is because of Cole and wish him the best. But, I'm still glad Romo is w/the boys and not the Texans!!

Monday afternoon, and Bob Sturm is still having trouble saying anything good about Beas.

Here is a great write up on the Beas for his San Diego performance. I really like how someone has taken the time to actually look and analyze how Cole is doing things on the field. Cole understands the game so well that he can make the Defense react the way he wants them to. I think that's the magic behind how he gets open so often. I've watched what he does on the field and he certainly has the ability to change direction very fast.
I watched the whole game against San Diego and it appeared to me that Romo intentionally tried to pass to the other receivers - even if Cole was open. There was one play where Cole said something to Kyle Orton and it appeared to [deleted] him off. Kyle quickly passed the ball on the other side of the field (incomplete) to Ogletree. It looked like he too was avoiding Beasley. The last two QB's for Dallas threw to him a lot. Cole got most of his yards at the end when the last QB saw that he was open all the time. Maybe that is because that QB just wanted to make plays.
Who knows - I'm not proposing a conspiracy here or anything it's probably just my perception. I think Romo could have thrown it to him more instead of Ogletree or Dez. Unless the coaches wanted to see what the other guys could do. The other receivers proved that they could drop the ball that's for sure.
Cole has great hands and the ability to find the open spots ... great analysis.
