If memory serves me correctly, we beat them from every year straight from 1971-1986. With the exception of '85 in the rain in Ft. Worth (we routed them on national tv and I must've drank a fifth of Beam), most of those games were competitive.

Gimme a break. This team represents the next generation. the future of mustang football. The old helmets represented all that was wrong about the 80's.

Two things...no one around here hates Patterson. Thats the most ignorant thing I've heard in a while. People were pissed because the contract extension took too LONG to get done. Second, we don't have to "live" with a Freshman QB next year, although I'm pretty sure every one of you would be thrilled to have James Battle. Tye Gunn is going to be back (he's way ahead of his rehab schedule) and we also have Brandon Hassell, who was a good recruit from the Metroplex. I'd take any of those guys over your QB situation.
