True but Baylor is like a 8-4 Big East team

I think Jones is doing very well. Three bowls and one was sure unexpected. SMU is 2-2 post season under Jones and 0-0 in the previous generation. We don't have the talent yet to play with sone of the better teams in college football BU is one of the better teams.

No sacks. Line with 100+ yards. O line did fine. Receivers dropped too many passes (including a TD). Pass D has to improve. And no pressure by the front 4 on the BU QB.

I disagree. Baylor was not the same level as the So Miss, TCU, Tulsa, Houston, UCF teams I saw last year. My opinion of course.

We should have been more competitive against Baylor. No sense in a 35 point loss. We need to step up recruiting to play with the big boys. No more getting recruiting that only UTSA and UNT want. If not we will get embarrassed almost everytime we play a bcs school. No should be accepting of a 35 point loss to Baylor IMO. 14 or less yes but not 35.

Right last year they had football jesus and produced one winning season. Baylor still has to prove consisent winning for 3 years before I deem them a better team. Its our goal to be top 25 and not accepting losing to teams on the fringe? Baylor gave up 430+ yards tonight. Teams winning their conferences play good D

We don't have the talent to play with the better teams in our own conference.

Well we did not exactly blow anybody in our conference out last year.

Agree. That's the bottom line. Baylor is better. Not a must win.

As much as it hurts to say, we just can't compete with most BCS schools right now which is why we aren't in a BCS conference. Recruit 3-4 four stars a few years in a row and I say we get close. We have some players that shouldn't even be playing Div 1 ball, I can name a few who are starters.

However, we have some young talent that will emerge (Dieter already has - I think Preston and Stewart and Holloway and Richardson will be others down the road).

I will suspend judgment on this team unless we stink it up again CUSA teams.

The game changed in the first series when we had them at 3rd and 16 and the idiotic Personal foul. Why do our smart players make such dumb penalties??

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but if this game was an indication of where we stand against mid-tier BCS teams (and Baylor is just that), then get ready for a lot of lean years because we just got embarrassed. I'm just tired of getting humiliated on national TV to start the season and watching a coaching staff that doesn't seem bothered by it in the least. EVERY Mustang should be angry after tonight. We damned well better come out ready to play against SFA and take out some frustration on them.

Got blown out several times too and had a few nail biters that were inexcusable.
