It's SFA- get the kid a few snaps this week.
well, that sould seem to be a legit argument. might as well be this week if we ever plan to ease him in.
Agreed. Would like to see an injury update on him. I saw some quotes from Suan saying he's been very inconsistent in practice (sometimes seems to be a stud, sometimes blows it mentally) but he needs to play - let him make his mistakes against SFA and apply what he learns to CUSA. I hear he is a very good receiver. He looks really strong and needs to play (again, IF healthy).
BTW, Zach doesn't have to "prove his endurance". We already know he's got it in spades. He has nothing to prove, except NFL scouts that he's the real deal. But you don't do that by getting injured by week 7-8.

Do you think June is trying to showcase how durable some players are to prepare them for the nfl and increase their draft status or free agent status? Forget about what is best forSMU!In this day of limited rosters in the nfl a backup player who can be counted on for his durability and special teams play is valuable. I think Emmanual Sanders who played every single down 3 years ago including 4th down punt coverage is an example. I don't recall Beasly having any injury issues during cowboys camp like EVERY other receiver and when an nfl team carries only 5 or 6 receivers compared to a college team with 8-10 and maybe 14 or 15 on scholarship. I think that is why we have looked so bad in the third and fourth quarters offensively the last few years. the receivers and rbs are run down and limping around which you have to admire the effort but wonder if the head coach is sane....of course the hc is busy with the qb running over to the sideline to talk to him between plays. Makes you wonder why he doesn't just give Suan and Phillips the weekends off!
