SMU simply doesn't have enough talent to stay on the field with Big 12 Teams. Its not just QB-we can pretty much point to just about every position on the Football Field

Ok, so let's switch the teams. I say Sumlin coaching SMU since April stays in this game against JJ coaching A&m since April.

Agreed. GG is not playing good, but I don't see him as our biggest issue right now.

I think that Mack Brown was privately whooping, high fiving and doing the happy dance when he learned that GG was transferring to SMU.

OL can't run block, they're terrible. Looks like Bob Palcic brought his UCLA magic with him.

Gotta agree with Stallion.
SMU just doesn't have the talent to compete with A&M. Across the board we were our played.

I don't think the O line did that bad nor do I think our receivers we that bad. They just were a level below the players on the other side.

Plus Manziel was unbelievable. Incredible performance.

JJ is gone after this season. We all know that. He wasn't fired after the ASU debacle because we didn't want to eat his contract.

We all thought that five years in the JJ era thT we would be competitive with the upper tier programs.

We are not. We just can't compete with the talent we have.

So, we will get a new coach and hope we hit on the right guy who can make us competitive.

How can we blame GG only. I saw WR getting dominated and sometimes lifeless rather than be competitive. I saw O line let people sack GG way too quickly. McDermott had wonderful talented WR and he typically shined when we played the armpits of college football (excluding a crappy TCU team). Our defense was good up to the point they realize no matter how fast they run no points would ever be rewarded to them unless they got a lucky interception or fumble to take it back. Fire JJ should be our war cry for the year rather than pony up. Any coach could have put 2 TDs.... Which btw why the [deleted] did they go for 2 FG when were down by 3 or 4 TDs already....

People keep saying June Jones forced recruiting changes. No the recruiting changes were part of the package offered to June Jones when he was hired. There are statistics from SMU's admission offices published in the DMN from Bennett's last 3 recruiting classes and June Jones' first 2 recruiting classes that establish this quite clearly.

Do we know that? We all hope so at this point, but I don't think that is a certainty at all. We could be stuck with this for a while.

If he is not gone at the end of this year then Ford will look like a ghost town next season.

june jones has a contract through the 2014 season. so for this year and the next two JJ is here. at $2/million a year and with orsini and DOH being paid how can SMU afford to fire JJ?
JJ will be here for the remainer of his contract and we will be weak all this time. get use to it.
