I know someone didn't like you saying this on an earlier post, but I agree, even if you are being sarcastic. Unless you are going to go undefeated, the OOC is just to prepare you for in conference play. It's not like we were thought to be BCS busting this year and already ranked in the Top 25.

I think I speak to the tune of JJ haters that is the OOC is our indication are we BE ready: HELL NO. The fact we are already wait to CUSA play before judging is not the way to think. You are right CUSA is this year and that's it and that playing level will get crushed by the Be. The other thing is I think Mike Aresco was looking forward to Houston UFC Boise and us for football. As you can tell half those teams choke continue to suck and look to suck worst. Thus it's hard to convince Espn or any network we are tv ready especially choking I front of our fans and thus you can see we couldn't sell out our small stadium. In sure Aresco will be delaying as long as he can to say well um at least our new BE teams can um compete with CUSA! Unless we do go 10-3 on conference play all these games are irrelevant to the typical fan. That's why if we lose to TCU or not surprisingly get demolish our season is over relative to our future. That's why getting rid of JJ or bringing in someone who will be his replacement.

We could easily run the table in conference and be 10-3. CUSA is weaker this year than ever before, but we still have USM, UCF, Tulsa and even UH to worry about. And you know that Rice will not tuck tail on us either. So, while I see some positives from our last two beat downs, it still will not be a cakewalk.

Truly hope so.. I love the optimism but I see Tulsa, UCF demolishing us. So miss and maybe Houston depending if they played like they did week 1. So assuming at least 3 losses. Rice and utep might win tight battle since its away. I can give our ponies memp and tulane. So I think realistic: 4-8 +/- 1 game. No bowl or champ. Predict Tulsa v UCF CUSA champ.

If our 10 wins cone by some adjustment to the offense and we start throwing 300+ ypg, great. If they look like the SFA game and we limp in 10 wins in a very down CUSA, we continue rioting.

If we go 10-3...
Are we still rioting about our coach, flooding the ADs twitter?
Do remain in a panic?
Will we give credit to those behind center, on the field and on the sidelines with headsets?
So far, we are exactly where most rational fans would place us. 1-2. Most observers would have us at 1-3 after our first four games prior to the season. Now, we look awful on offense, but we also have a QB that is still meshing with the system and figuring things out after only coming on during camp. What if everything starts to click by game 5?
I doubt it changes much because we are typically the woe is me crowd. We will probably just complain about how we won or how we should run the ball more or throw the ball more or scrap the R&S and go to the Wing T. All things considered we are not nearly as bad as everyone on here makes us out to be. My point is simple. The season is still young and we still have a great chance to win CUSA. I'll change my tune when we look terrible and lose our first conference games. But for now, we are exactly where most in the world that doesn't wear Peruna shaded glasses thought we would be.
Now please continue the ranting and gnashing of teeth though, it make for fun reading.
10-3 means we blew through a weak conference, recruiting would still suck so most would probably want June to take a bow and leave on a high note so we can get someone that can get this program to the next level.

If we go 9-1 here on out, great. But unless we are blowing CUSA opponents out every week then I will be very very worried headed into the BE next year. Right now I do not have a lot of faith that is going to happpen.
I did not expect the Offense to come out and start scoring at will. G2 has not taken a snap in two years, he has worked with the team and coaches for a month and a half. The recievers are dropping passes and along with the QB are still not in sync. The offensive line is new. What I was hoping to see was a little bit of improvement each week and that has not happened. Maybe by the time the TCU game comes around the light will finally come on for the offense and things will click, I hope so.

Nobody thought we were even with Baylor or A&M - you cant find that in any of my previous posts. I just didnt think we were going to look this bad in those two losses and also in the game we actually won.
if you think we can run the table on SO Miss, UCF, or even Houston having to depend on our opponant coughing up 8 turn-overs a game, you are on serious drugs. Will we look better -> I am sure we will - we cant look worse.
Lets say we run the table on CUSA - would you be happy with that knowing we are about to embarrass ourselves in the new BE and also in all of our pre-season games for the next five years?
I'm not saying this season is over. I am saying this coach should be over so we can actually build a program like MANY of our peers.

ed4life you have totally lost it. all indicators show that we will not got 11-3. baylor almost got upset by Sam Houston State... they are not as good as we made them look. We got absolutely man-handled by mid-tier BCS teams when, in year 5 of the JJ era, we should at least be competitive. We got humiliated on national TV twice. not to mention JJ's pathetic recruiting efforts. our current class right now is set to rank about 80-90 out of 120 teams. This recruiting apathy really shows when we go up against BCS opponents, just look at how small and unphysical our wide receivers are... hell, the whole team gets beat physically. im sick of JJ and the sooner he leaves the better

and the future doesnt look bright. i already mentioned our pathetic recruiting class. next year we lose our playmakers.. taylor reed, JG davis, zach line, DJ3, margus hunt... what the hell happens after that? i'm sure if JJ isn't fired, he walks because he knows this team is on the decline.
and btw.. JJ has been here 5 years and we still havent seen the offense click except for the Hawaii bowl and the TCU game. His offense is too predictable and too slow. Hurry up offenses kill us, you'd think JJ would get a clue instead of having GG walk over to the sidelines after every play preventing Gilbert to even have a chance to read the D or call his own plays. The guy doesnt realize we're in the year 2012.. things have changed and he's too lazy to adapt.

He won't walk he will milk this till the end. This is his last job and and he realized it when ASU alums (more informed than we were) said no way will we take it and kicked him off. He will sit through to end of his contract have at least 10 mil in his pocket to go shopping for a nice place in Hawaii to retire. So it sucks because no one will take him and we are stuck with him because we unfortunately signed an extension.

If this team goes 10-3, that means they most likley won CUSA and will get a 14th game. I suppose it is possible to beat TCU and go 7-1 in CUSA and lose a tie-breaker to Tulsa (assuming they are our only loss the rest of the way)
for the eternal optimists out there, you can always dream
