Look at Otto’s post on our 17 commitments. Absent Gaines, these are the offers our commitments have received to date:

No Offers (4)
Eastern Illinois
Arkansas State
Louisiana Tech (2)
UT-San Antonio (3)
Montana
Portland State
Harvard
San Diego State
Air Force
South Dakota State (2)
North Texas (3)
Navy
Cornell
Rice
Tulsa
New Mexico

Oh, and Rivals had us ranked #89 last year.

Do we even need to debate this?

Thats ridiculous ..if you are a Top Recruit you may even b embarrased that SMU even offers you. Top recruits follow other top recruits.

When we've been outscored 107-27 by former peers and SWC conference mates with an entire roster of Jones recruits, with two TDs coming in garbage time against 2nd and 3rd stringers, you would think we've moved beyond debate.

You really think that will cheer you up? You'll never be cheered up. You'll always find something or someone to b!ttch and moan about - but, you've helped make America what it is today! See you Saturday - Pony Up!

SoCal, no need to debate. How do you debate facts? Those are offer stats, not opinions.

berger it would cheer me up a ton knowing that our administration, the same one that fiddled for years and let us get to this point, would do what tcu did and make a conscientious decision that they were tired of getting left out of the party and were going to do whatever it took (why don't we have a version of [deleted] lowe)?

I wonder how long it is going to take the C of C to notice the high level of recruiting that LB and his staff are doing and the attention that is getting vs. rip van jones and his attitude of 'send me a tape' style recruiting..

Remember now......Jones has been winning the past few years with Bennett recruits and commits. The offense last year was all Bennett recruits/commits except for DJ, Line and Mcdermott transfer as I recall. That was troubling in that after 3 years he was unable to work that pipeline or the fertile Texas recruiting grounds. Line was a last-minute lb grayshirt I think and Mcdermott a New Mexico St recruit so DJ was the ONLY TX ghigh school

This almost sounds like what I call the Houston Nutt syndrome. That is you win until you run out of the previous coaches players (see Ole Miss).
