Defense played great this game, not so great in the others.

Baylor: 613 yards
SFA: 466 yards (did have 10 turnovers though)
A&M: 605 yards

I guess a silver lining might be we weren't involved in a game where we scored 63 and still lost

D looked good. our LB's were very active and our DL seemed to put a lot of pressure on the QB. DB play was about the same as usual, but was hidden by the rain and the additional pressure we were getting up front.

Great job by All D coaches last night. I am amazed at the patch work job they have had to do with the secondary. I know SMU has lost a lot of players back there. Hey, I thought Chris Parks played pretty well last night. Parks might become a good player, as he has made a lot of improvement. Again, great coaching job on D !

Shame this defense is going to have to be heroic every game for us to finish above .500 since they'll get next to no help from the offense.

It's hard to keep the other team out of the endzone when their starting field position is within your own 10 yd line..... I'm happy with the way our D played though, and the fact that our team didn't give up. I do also believe that the rain helped keep it a close game.
