putting together a top 10 worst defeats would be difficult...what about the opening day drubbing by Navy to open the Phil Bennett era?

we even tried to burn Ford down that night

wasn't that similar to this Tulane game in that Navy had loss some 11 straight games?

Just looked it up, Navy went 0-10 the previous season and was 1-10 the season prior.

ABSOLUTELY makes the list.

Worst loss since the DP? Now that's a good question to change the subject after yesterday's debacle. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 6 int Bo Levi performance against a pitiful Washington State squad in 2009. Or how about blowing a shot at the Independence Bowl by losing to an 0-10 TCU team in 1997. Those are two of the bigger donkey punches I can remember since the DP.

It's sad that we have so many to choose from.

as bad as this loss seemed yesterday, it might not even be in the top 10 "worst losses" since the death penalty. That says a lot about how much we have suffered the past 25 years

The reason yesterday's loss is not as painful as some others is that we are still not even close to being bowl eligible, but it has to be one of the 2-3 worst losses in program history.

This loss was so bad because it was against the worst team in the country with a 1st year head coach with less talented players.

Yep. And in Year 5 of The Great JJ's reign?

We've dropped so many stinking piles of poo since the death penalty, it would hard to rank them. This was no doubt a kick in the sack. But we've been a lot more inept than this.

Maybe $2 million a year doesn't buy the kind of coach it used to buy.........

In reality there have been worse losses. We have found ways to blow 20+ point leads with under 15 minutes on several occasions. Some would have broken long losing streaks. But this one really hurts.

And in protest I will wear Blue from now until the end of the season.
