If true you are one of the few people on this board who can make a difference. Please, please please, talk with Hart and communucate to him that the current state of affairs is unacceptable and we need a change. Helfrich from Oregon would be great.
Mustang Club member, eason ticket holder for me.

Not pleased at all. But thankful to be whining about a poor season that was not expected instead of suffering a poor season that was expected.
I have no idea what is the correct thing to do moving forward. It will take significant character from this team to produce a winning season. We shall see. As to the future, the men and women that pump into the system far more than me will be the influence makers.
I will continue to support SMU cause that’s what I do. Through the very lean years and now.
But once again, I am not pleased at all and very disappointed in the season thus far.
And yes I will make the mid week trip from Arkyland (minus mrydel) to watch SMU finally win a game against Houston (can’t honestly say I believe that but I support SMU and the players).

Graduated in May, Season ticket holder, worked with Orsini as a senior in an intern role. Deeply concerned about the future direction of the program, and that June might be given a grace year, which is disturbing considering A. He almost ditched us last year and B. The is such an important time for SMU as we enter a BCS conference.
We need a change, a guy that is passionate about this job and our school. A guy with some fire and energy that can change the spell of negativity that has festered over the last year. A lot of us want some explanation or accountability from the AD's office. We haven't heard a thing to date. We want to believe Hart has the courage and foresight to mobilize the CofC and critically think about our next steps, and to have RGT on board with moving this program in the right direction. We need to see he has direction for the whole program, a plan in place to get us to that next level. Right now it feels like we are happy to be complacent and sink back in to irrelevancy...

MC club and Letterman's Club since late 80s, season ticket holder since 2000. Very concerned with the lack of commitment to success and to our school traditions both by the coach and the administration. We would like these concerns addressed by the AD.

Season ticket holder and Mustang Club member.
I had talked to some Mustang Club representatives and let them know how unhappy I was *before* this past weekend.
Not sure they want to call back and get my opinion now.

I am a MC member. And I am very concerned with the state of the football program. That said, and most of you have already noted this, I am not hell-bent on the destruction of anyone, coach, player, or administration.
Personally, I think that people need to remember who and what we chose to do when SMU "got serious" about athletics. We went for unorthodox scheme coaches. Paul Johnson and then JJ. These are men with a system and we were always going to live and die by it. That was part of the parcel, and it brought us three straight bowl games, even without hitting the heights we saw with Hawai'i. When I was studying to be a classical musician, people like JJ were a huge part of my life, and there are a couple of things that people need to consider. JJ wants to play the game his way. Call it arrogant, delusional, whatever, and you may be right, but that is what we signed up for. I had piano teachers who didn't care if I could play the notes, I needed to use the technique that would allow me to develop further. JJ is a teacher more than a coach. We can scream bloody murder about his play-calling, recruiting, etc., but I think it is baseless to pretend that if the kids executed what he tells them to we wouldn't win a bunch of games. Their failure to execute is the concern. It is that simple. Does JJ still believe that his charges can master his system? If the answer is yes, then he should stay. If he cannot give that assurance (that they CAN master it, not that they will), then I believe he should step aside. Personally, like Bennett before him and Cavan before him, I hope that our current coach can succeed and make us a power again.
The issue I have is whether JJ's teaching is going to be successful into the future. And I don't think we can accurately make that determination until the season is over. If the execution had been slightly better against Tulane we would have won easily. JJ must share in the blame for the failure to do so. But the bottom line for me is that on Thursday we are going to see where the kids go from the nadir or Saturday afternoon.
I will be there.

First year MC member and first year season ticket holder... Not sure I will renew either if June is still here. Not gonna pay 500 bucks again next year to watch this product on the field. I'll just buy cheap seats and move down when everyone else bails.

I've been a Mustang Club member since graduation in 06 and Southern Methodist University won't see another dime of my money go to athletics until June Jones is no longer in charge of the football program. His time here has been a huge money grab and we sat here and worshipped at his feet for getting us to the level of "not terrible" in CUSA. We are now going to the Big East. If he is allowed to stay here for another year or two we will be in the same place we were in the SWC after the death penalty. We will be a permanent doormat. If RGT/Hart do not do what is right for the future of the program they can kiss my [deleted]. I'm not giving them another cent.
