Embrace whatever pumps the team up and keeps the fans somewhat interested during breaks in action.

Bring your own headphones and listen to whatever you want if you don't like it.

i thought the music was a good ad - and I'm a 50 something that would never listen to rap - They need to be a bit more careful to not be on top of the band, but the change is positive.

we need more pre recorded pro smu history stuff - that pony express video is awesome.

If it's too loud.........then your too old! The music out of the PA isn't any different than at any other college game.

I am getting tired of everything complained about being because someone is too old. I am one of the oldest on this board and I want everything louder. At my age I am losing my hearing, I need it louder.

The only thing I didn't like was the coog band playing on top of Varsity.

The loud music is great provided it isn't stepping on either band :!: When the kitty cats were
coming on the field for the start of the game you couldn't hear what looked like a 400 member
band playing their fight song, and the crowd cheering for the obnoxius at the time loud
music.

Hmmmm, maybe that wasn't really all that bad.  Timing is everything :!: :!:

A bunch of classless clowns. I've heard the Cougar High band do this so many times I could puke.

O.K. So maybe I AM getting old. If some of you think that crap coming out of the JumboTron is *music* then I feel sorry for your kids. As a wise man once said, "Rock n' roll has been going downhill ever since Buddy Holly died." ;)

But it still begs the question from the SMU Athletics Twitter response about 'filling in' until the band(s) play. A football game is NOT a radio or TV broadcast where you have to "fill" to avoid "dead air".

The game on the field last Thursday night was fun to watch and I was ecstatic to see SMU beat the crap out of Cougar High. The 'off field' product was not to my liking and I hope it changes before Homecoming. There will most likely be others who are returning for Homecoming who feel the same way about it like my wife and I do. Let the bands play, the cheerleaders cheer and the fans visit with each other during timeouts instead of forcing us to listen to that b.s.

And in late breaking news from The Hilltop: SMU just scored ANOTHER touchdown! ;)
