I watched the Rice-Tulsa game and their backup QB was doing a pretty good job of stretching the field. Granted, not a lot of those passes were completed but I suspect that the Rice secondary is a bit better than ours. JMHO.

I watched the Rice Tulsa game as well, and was impressed with Rice this year.
If it wasn't for a special teams mistake by allowing Tulsa to have a huge return near the end of the 4th quarter, Rice would have won.
But, that's football.

Rice will not be a push-over game for us, especially in Houston.

We know there are no pushover games ... as wins or losses.

But 19 takeaways in 2 games? That's hard to do against kids in the local playground.

More takeaways in 2 games than we had all of last year. Yes, it says something about the defense's performance and luck last year, but no matter how you slice it, that's incredible.

Let's get a few more against Memphis. GO MUSTANGS!

I would pick coaching. Boise State is the best example of that.

Or SMU.

SMU 3-4? Good recruiting beats good coaching most of time when their is a large gap in talent. However we are going to a conference where most of the coaches are good. Next year it will be talent that separates most of the teams.
