How many of those were winning teams?

NSU and SFA? Really. Pittsburgh, Houston, UTEP were not winning teams when we faced them (and no 6-6 is not a winning record)
We were down 14-0 to ECU before we even woke up. Tulsa scored less than 5 minutes into the game to take the lead in 2010, we trailed until late late late in the 1st quarter. And we also trailed in the 2009 game until late late in the 2nd quarter.
Again, we haven't come prepared to start most of the games under June. Even the ones we've won against a winning team, we trailed before we hit our stride except for TCU/Nevada.

Mustangs35SMU is just stating fact. You can state some fiction.

I certainly wouldn't classify the 95% of 35smu rants as fact. Seems more like perpetual negative rants aganist any and eveyone on the smu football team. I simply would suggest at LEAST supporting the good thing like wins from time to time. I honestly believe this team has turned the corner.

He just stated a bunch of FACTS about how we suck in the first half against good teams. There are inferences to be drawn from those facts. that is not being negative, just truthful.

I'm sorry that I'm going to sit around and convince myself that June is the leader of this football team, no matter if it's after a win over Houston or Memphis.
"95% of my rants" have done nothing but provide the facts that June supporters simply want to deny to themselves. I gave full credit to Gilbert and company after the win over Memphis, because yes, he did show massive improvement from his first couple of games here. But it's Memphis.
You believe this team has turned the corner, I'm waiting to see what they do against UCF. That's the real test. And even if this team does win against UCF, I fully believe it'll be because of the team and nothing to do with June Jones. His playing calling against Houston and Memphis was still absolutely awful. I'm glad you can get over a loss to the likes of Tulane so easily, but in year five of this thing, I sure as heck can't.

I think his name was Alex Caris and X football player that cold kocked a donkey/horse in a movie with one punch to the head.
Would love to this team be ready and prepared.

Well there you go, something positive was sorta stated in this last post. No one is looking for fair-weather fans that provide medals to those who just participated; but constant ripping with no acknowledgment of the positives becomes noise. I assume you dismiss the last 3 and likely 4 bowl appearances after 25 year absence as coincidence and nothing to do with June? No one but the players and coaches have to "get over" bad losses as you and I didn't take a single snap nor have any real skin in the game. So if they lose to UCF, but finish 7-5 you will not be happy?

I've acknowledged the positives when they were merited, most of it coming on the game day after the game. I'm not going to get a high after beating Memphis. They're one of the worst football teams in the country, and we should've done to Tulane what we did to Memphis.
The bowl appearances are definitely something to be proud of. And credit to June for getting it done. He got the restrictions lifted and has made himself an icon to some SMU fan (for whatever reason) But he's also done less with more than any other coach since the death penalty imo. This season, in year five of his reign, should be a slam dunk for a conference championship with how awful this conference is. But we'll be lucky to even get to the title game.

It was Alex Karras, as Mongo, who cold cocked a horse in Blazing Saddles.
To this day is still one of the funniest movies ever.
Alex just recently passed away on October 10th.
